Animal Entanglements

You've heard it before, but it bears repeating: Marine debris causes animal entanglements, which can result in maiming or death! And it's not always fish. Birds and marine mammals suffer entanglements, too. So do sea turtles, several species of which are in danger of extinction. Fortunately, we counted a minimum number of animal entanglements in 2003, as shown below.

This brochure provides more information on animal entanglements and what you can do to prevent them.
