Results/lessons learned
1. More prep time
3. Clear expectations for all collaborators
2. Conditional and concise short-term objectives
5. It is easy to include volunteers and school groups.
4. If you think the tasks will take one year, plan on three.
Results: prep time- precise habitat mapping. Placement of dataloggers/monitoring equipment in a fashion that changes in plans still allow collection of meaningful data.  Objectives with a corresponding work plan that is logically and sequentially laid out.
Short-term objectives: Since true restoration takes years, possibly even decades to accomplish it is important to define unambiguous, measurable short-term goals that are contingent upon favorable conditions. For example, weather events can impair the best of plans, make sure all involved understand this.
Expectations of collaborators: agree upon a timeline of accomplishments. Work out and formally agree upon collaborative assignments prior to action.
