Coastal Symposium Focused on North Central Gulf Issues

The Mississippi-Alabama Bays & Bayous Symposium was held Oct. 28-29 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center in Biloxi. Features included about 150 presentations on the latest coastal issues in these categories: Coastal Community Action and Stewardship; Extension, Outreach and Education; Habitat Management and Restoration; Living Estuarine Resources; and Water Resources: Supply and Quality. The symposium also offered opportunities to network with educators, volunteer groups, scientists, resource managers and community leaders. Presentations focused on issues important to the north central Gulf of Mexico.
