Committee charged with plan to keep waterfronts accessible

The Alabama Waterfront Access Study Committee recently met in Montgomery, Ala. The committee was created by the Alabama Legislature Joint House Resolution 656 as a result of efforts extended by MASGC in facilitating the Alabama Working Waterfront Coalition. Chaired by MASGC Director LaDon Swann, the committee is charged with determining the loss of diversity of uses along Alabama’s waterfronts and with making recommendations to curb these losses.
