Lou D'Abramo Awarded Honors
MASGC Associate Director Dr. Lou D’Abramo was recently honored
with two awards for his leadership, dedication and research. The awards
were from the National Shellfisheries Association and the Mississippi
State University Office of Research and Economic Development. A member
of the Executive Committee of the NSA, D’Abramo was recognized
for his dedication after serving in the offices of member-at-large, vice
president, president-elect and president during the past nine years.
At MSU, he received the Ralph E. Powe Research Excellence Award, the
highest research award given to a faculty member from the Office of Research
and Economic Development for his distinguished research career reflective
of leadership, vision, facilitation, collaboration, problem solving and
team building.
