Navigating the National Flood Insurance Plan coverNavigating the National Flood Insurance Plan is a four-page document explaining the National Flood Insurance Program. Designed to assist gulf coast residents in determining their need for flood insurance, the publication addresses such topics as flood insurance coverage, purchasing flood insurance and flood insurance rate maps (FIRMs). Supported by MASGC, the National Sea Grant College Program of the U. S. Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Auburn University Marine Extension and Research Center, it is available online as a PDF download from masgc.org/pdf/masgp/07-005.pdf.
