Researchers, Teachers Together

Classroom teachers and educators from museums, aquariums and science centers in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida joined keynote scientists for a weekend workshop Nov. 9 through Nov. 11 at The University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) in Ocean Springs, Miss. This two-day Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence: Central Gulf of Mexico (COSEE:CGOM) Workshop was sponsored by the National Science Foundation, in cooperation with Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, GCRL and the J.L.
